GCSE Triumph – ĢƵ’s Pupils Celebrate a Year of Rising Results

2024 has been an exceptionally strong year for results at ĢƵ’s, with 77% of our pupils’ GCSEs being graded 9-8 (equivalent of the old A*) and 91% achieving grades 9-7 (A*/A equivalent).
The 9-8 and 9-7 pass rates represent the highest performance in GCSE exams at ĢƵ’s for several years, now that national grading standards havefully returned to pre-pandemic levels.
Highlights Include
- 91% of results were graded 9-7
- 77% of results were graded 9-8
- 48% of results were graded 9
- Four students were top national performers in OCR’s GCSE Art and Design: Fine Art
- 26 pupils achieved nine or more Grade 9s
- 15 pupils received straight grade 9s across all subjects
- 51 Year 10 pupils took GCSE Mathematics a year early, with 98% achieving a Grade 9

“I am thrilled by the impressive standards that ĢƵ’s students have achieved, and I congratulate them warmly on their success.
Huge credit to them all for the hard work they have put into these fantastic results, and to their teachers, whose skill and support have enabled them to do their best. This year-group can look forward with great confidence to an exciting and fulfilling journey through the ĢƵ’s Sixth Form.”
