What happens to all the juice and milk cartons we throw away? At Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ's Prep the Betas (year 4) learnt to make their own accessories from items we might normally consider to be simply rubbish.
In a series of workshops held on 16 May, linked with our Humanities curriculum, children in all three Beta classes made a useful little notebook from recycled paper and cardboard, plus a stylish and handy wallet from old juice cartons.
Nathaniel from class BSS, said: “The best part was getting to make the notebook using old maps and cardboard. I’ll think a bit harder in future before throwing things away.”
I think the Earthship presentation was very interesting because it’s amazing that you can make nothing into something.
